Darrell Klein's Rigging For Fishing on the Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler

I want to do a quick walk around of my Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler. There is a lot of videos showing our people's rigging, but I wanted everyone to see my rigging. He is a fast look at how I get it ready for fishing. I got the Orion Coolers 25 quart strapped down to the front porch, which is perfect for it. I got the NRS Straps holding it down. You can order any of this stuff online at Caney Fork Outdoors' website.

The back porch is great for putting my YakAttack BlackPak which holds some of my rods. On the side is the Blue Sky rod/paddle holder, where I keep some extra rods stored and my Werner Shuna paddle in there too.

This is driven by the Flex Drive (pedal drive) watercraft, but I would recommend a paddle even with a pedal driven craft. A paddle will help with quick turns and maneuverability, and it will be better with a paddle. Pushing off and getting through narrow places a paddle will come in handy. There is always a good reason to have a good paddle.

Let's talk more about the Flex Drive unit. Right now I have it raised in shallow water. I ended up running through some grass and the drive got tight so I lifted up the drive and cleaned it out. Simply by using the lever on the drive to lift it up. Same lever puts the drive back down. The nice part is if you run up on something it will have the Flex Drive come up on it's own. Same thing happens with the Jackson Kayak models with the Flex Drive.

Next good thing I want to talk about is the storage places on the hulls. Just have to lift the doors in order to put your rods down in it for when you are traveling or out on the water. There is also a shallow tray that I use to put snacks and bags for picking up trash and on the other side I got drinks in it.

I got a lot of room on the deck and can spend the seat around which makes it easy to get to my crate on the back. It just makes life so much easier. I mount some rod holders on the RAM Mount rails on the side. There is rails all over the 360 Angler. It is a well thought out platform. It is the closest thing you will get to the deck of a bass boat while being in the same places a kayak can get to. Also, it great on big water!

Let's move to the water and my favorite thing on the Blue Sky is being able to bring my kids with me on it. I enjoy having him out there with me. My son's favorite thing to do on the 360 Angler is moving it around in the water and going to see Goose Poop island.

You can go see or purchase a Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler or 360 Escape at the Caney Fork Outdoors on the Caney Fork River or in Nashville. Call them to setup a demo or order one online today to get your own.
