  • Great kayak.

Posted by Jason B on Mar 11th 2019

Finally got a warm dry dry day to test it out. Initial thoughts was how stable sitting down was, the stability was great, didn't even feel like a kayak. At no point in time sitting did I feel uncomfortable. I dont think you could flip it unless you absolutely tried to, then it would be hard to. The tracking was great. It was a little on the slow side, but the tracking and stability made up for it. It doesn't have the greatest maneuverability, I couldn't turn it sharply, but it's not made to do that either. So no complaints. Now when it came to standing I stood up within 5 minutes, still a little cautious because its cold and I didn't want to take a swim accidentally. When I got in shallow water I tested it out more, I was actually able to stand one footed at the edge of the standing platform, with that said I'm 6ft 175lbs. I was able to store my 2 6ft fishing poles, my NRS life jacket and various other items in the front hatch. To wrap it all up I'm very happy with my purchase, I feel it's a well balanced kayak and really shines on calm open water such as lakes, big rivers. Fast rivers that you need to act quickly may not be do well.

  • Christmas To Me!!!

Posted by Brad Parker on Jan 23rd 2019

My Christmas present, a new Jackson Liska from my sweet wife, a big thank you to Caney Fork Outdoors for keeping it a complete surprise Wow, I had no ideal! I got to take it out on the lake to try out. Well, it was just what I thought so easy to paddle even on the lake, loved standing and casting. The seat so comfortable, and so many different positions. I plan on rigging it with a depth finder, so I will be in touch soon. Thanks for all y'all work to help Jen give me the very best Christmas ever.

  • Stable and Dependable

I was able to stand and fish with ease. The rear tank well is able to hold a lot of gear or even a 35 quart Orion Cooler. The seat's trim feature is a nice addition to the classic high/low seat. The openness of the deck is outstanding, especially if you want to keep a few things you want within quick reach. I have been using the Liska for about 10 months and can't find anything that I am not happy about.
