I've owned and paddled numerous other kayaks before demoing a NuCanoe Pursuit but once I tried it, I knew the Pursuit was the kayak for me. The wide open deck, ease that it paddled and low wind resistance had me sold. Two years later, it's still the right kayak for me. I can paddle it faster and further than the Jackson Kilroy I had before, I can carry more than my old Ascend could ever dream of and I'm able to change the entire layout of the Pursuit in just minutes to adapt to what ever type of fishing I'm planning on doing that day. I absolutely love my NuCanoe Pursuit!

I own a NuCanoe Pursuit, Flint, and Frontier. I love all three of them for different reasons. The Pursuit is my favorite kayak for open water. I have fished lakes, rivers, intercostal waters of the Gulf of Mexico and in the Gulf of Mexico itself in the Pursuit. I like the Pursuit for open water because of speed. I can paddle an average of 4 mph according to my GPS which is about 25% faster than the Frontier at 3 mph. I like the open deck which makes it easy to move around and fish both sitting or standing. I can take a ton of stuff with me and I use the 4 rod tubes a lot to store my spare rods. It isn’t as stable as the Frontier but I have no problem standing and fishing.
