It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.
Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.
Kayak Shipments
We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.
If we hand deliver it
Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.
If it ships LTL freight
Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.
What we cover
Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.
Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.
Bending Branches Warranty
Paddles
Bending Branches guarantees its paddles against manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase.
- Coverage: 2 years from the date of purchase.
- What it covers: Defects in materials and workmanship. Bending Branches reviews each case and decides what qualifies.
- How a claim is handled: Repair or replacement. Bending Branches states it honors all reasonable requests.
Wood paddles: a worn-looking Rockgard tip is normal
Every wood paddle is hand dipped in varnish four times, then the drip residue is burnished off the tip. That can leave the Rockgard tip looking worn, and it shows up most on the black tips. It is normal and does not affect how the paddle performs.
Filing a claim
Warranty claims are handled by Bending Branches. Submit yours on their warranty page with photos and a description of the issue, and a Bending Branches representative will respond with next steps.

The Angler Ace is the best overall value in the Bending Branches kayak fishing line. It combines the weight savings of a carbon shaft with the most durable blades they make.
The blade was redefined to be stronger. The shape gives a smoother forward stroke with less chance of flutter, a stiffer feel, and quieter entry and exit. The carbon and nylon blade material is stronger, meaning less flex, and thicker, which makes it more durable long-term. Carbon-reinforced nylon is built to take a beating and put more torque and efficiency behind a loaded down fishing kayak.
The oversized blade is sized for horsepower and control with a heavily loaded kayak, without being overly fatiguing, heavy or flexible. The 100% carbon shaft is the lightest material available, with a tight, secure weave, and it is ovalized where your hands go for comfort, control and fewer blisters.

Bending Branches Angler Ace Questions, Answered
Why is the Angler Ace called the best value?
It pairs the 100% carbon shaft from the top of the line with carbon-reinforced nylon blades, which are the most durable blades Bending Branches makes. You keep the weight savings that carbon buys and you spend less than the compression molded blade models cost.
What changed on the redefined blade?
The shape and the material both. The new shape gives a smoother forward stroke with less chance of flutter and a quieter entry and exit. The carbon and nylon material is stronger, which means less flex, and thicker, which makes it more durable and robust long-term.
How does the hook retrieval system work?
It is built into the blade. When a lure ends up in a limb or a laydown you cannot reach, you use it to get the lure back instead of breaking off and re-tying. It is a small thing that pays for itself the first time it works.
Angler Ace or Angler Pro?
Both run a 100% carbon shaft and an oversized angler blade. The Ace uses carbon-reinforced nylon, built for durability and torque. The Pro uses compression molded fiberglass, which Bending Branches builds for weight and longevity with a smoother, flutter-free stroke, and it costs more. The Ace is the durability and value pick.
Can I use the tape measure to check a legal fish?
Not officially. Bending Branches states it is a sizing guide, not an official measuring tool for competitive angling or for determining the legality of a catch, and the printing can vary in accuracy from the manufacturing process. Use it for a quick check and carry a real bump board for anything that counts.
What is the warranty?
A 2-year manufacturing warranty from Bending Branches. Hand built in Osceola, Wisconsin.
How does it ship?
Ships parcel, nationwide. It breaks down into two pieces and boxes up, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
