It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.
Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.
Kayak Shipments
We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.
If we hand deliver it
Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.
If it ships LTL freight
Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.
What we cover
Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.
Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.
Description
The Fiesta is four Hobies in one hull. Fifteen feet long, 80 inches wide, 1,000 lbs of capacity, four MirageDrive units and four seats. It is the only boat in this lineup where the whole family pedals at once.
Eighty inches is six foot eight of beam. Nothing else here is close. At that width with a diagonal dropstitch floor under you, it is a platform people stand up and move around on rather than a kayak you sit in carefully.
A thousand pounds of capacity means four adults and a cooler, and it still packs into a storage bag measuring 59 x 43.3 x 15.75 inches. The hull is 550 denier PVC in triple-chamber construction.
What ships with it: four MirageDrives with Glide Technology and Kick-Up Fins, four seats, a three-piece SUP paddle, a high-pressure hand pump, an electric pump and the storage bag.

Hobie iTrek Fiesta Questions, Answered
Who actually buys a four-person pedal kayak?
Families, lake houses and anyone who got tired of owning four boats. It is also the answer for people with no storage at all, because a 15 foot four-seater that packs into one bag has no hardshell equivalent.
Do all four seats pedal?
Yes. Four MirageDrive units come with it, one per position. Everybody contributes or everybody complains.
Can fewer than four people use it?
Yes. Nothing requires all four drives to be pedaling. Two people move it fine, one person moves it slowly. Hobie rates the crew at 4, which is the maximum, not a requirement.
Is 1,000 lbs of capacity real?
It is Hobie’s published figure. Four adults averaging 190 lbs is 760, which leaves 240 for gear and a cooler. It is the highest capacity in this entire lineup by 400 lbs.
How long does it take to inflate?
Hobie does not publish an inflation time and we will not guess. With 15 feet of triple-chamber hull, the included electric pump is the part that makes this practical. Do not plan on the hand pump as your main option.
What is the MirageDrive GT?
The drive Hobie fits to the iTrek and Passport boats, paired with Glide Technology and Kick-Up Fins. Hobie describes Glide Technology as "roller bearings at key friction points reduce resistance for a smooth and efficient ride". What are Kick-Up Fins?
Fins that retract by themselves on impact. Hobie’s own line is "Logs, kelp, shallows, rocks, no problem." On an inflatable that matters twice over, because the fins are the only rigid thing hanging below you.
What happens if I puncture it?
The hull is 550 denier PVC, which is heavy material, not pool-toy vinyl. It is also multi-chamber, so one chamber losing air does not sink the boat. Treat it like any inflatable: keep it off sharp gravel, do not drag it loaded, and rinse and dry it before it goes in the bag.
Can you stand on it?
The diagonal dropstitch floor with an EVA pad and 80 inches of beam is about as stable as an inflatable gets, and it ships with a SUP paddle, which tells you what Hobie expects people to do. Use sense with four people aboard.
Do inflatables get the same warranty as the hardshells?
No, and this is worth knowing. Hobie covers 2019-and-newer kayaks for 3 years but rates inflatable kayaks at 2 years. Same defect coverage in materials, manufacturing and design, one year less of it. Claims still go through us as the selling dealer, within 30 days of finding the problem.
How do we store it?
Deflated, clean and completely dry, in its bag. Never wet, never inflated in a hot space. Improper storage is a named warranty exclusion.
How many life jackets do we need?
One wearable per person on board, so four. The law requires it. The Old Town Outfitter Universal covers a 30 to 56 inch chest, which is why it is the sensible one to buy as spares for a boat that carries whoever turns up.
How long is the Hobie warranty?
Hobie covers 2 years on inflatable kayaks on 2019 and newer models against defects in materials, manufacturing and design. Hobie repairs or replaces at their discretion.
Who handles a warranty claim?
Hobie routes warranty claims through the authorized dealer you bought from, which is us. Within 30 days of finding a defect, bring the boat and your proof of purchase to us and we handle it from there. That is worth knowing before you buy a big boat from a marketplace seller with no dealer behind it.
What voids coverage?
Normal wear and discoloration, abuse, skipped maintenance, hitting submerged objects, mooring or storing the boat in the water, improper transport or storage, weather damage, modifications, and rental or commercial use. One exclusion catches people out: beaching the boat without retracting the MirageDrive and rudder first. Pull both up before you slide onto sand or gravel.
How does the Hobie iTrek Fiesta ship?
Two ways. If you are inside our delivery area, local delivery shows up as a shipping option at checkout and we bring the boat to you ourselves. We call ahead to set a meet-up, and since we do the unloading there is nothing for you to inspect or sign at the curb. Otherwise it ships LTL freight with a carrier running a 99.9% damage-free rate. On a freight delivery, look the boat over before you sign the receipt and write down any damage you see. That one step protects your claim.
