It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.
Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.
Kayak Shipments
We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.
If we hand deliver it
Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.
If it ships LTL freight
Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.
What we cover
Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.
Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.
Description
The iTrek 11 is the iTrek to buy if you are not trying to fly with it. Ten feet eight inches on a 40 inch beam, 28 lbs of hull, 400 lbs of capacity, and it still rolls up into a duffle.
The hull is a dropstitch construction with three chambers in 550 denier PVC. Dropstitch is what lets an inflatable get rigid enough to feel like a boat rather than a raft, and three chambers means losing one does not end your day.
The drive is a genuine MirageDrive GT with Glide Technology and Kick-Up Fins. The steering is ambidextrous, so the handle mounts on the left or the right depending on which hand you would rather use.
A high-pressure hand pump, an electric pump and a drink holder all come inside an easy-load rolling travel bag. The seat is elevated with a cup holder and nano-mesh fabric.

Hobie iTrek 11 Questions, Answered
iTrek 11 or iTrek 9 Ultralight?
Packed size against performance. The Hobie iTrek 9 Ultralight packs smaller and weighs 8 lbs less, which is the whole point if you are flying or living in an apartment. The iTrek 11 is longer, tracks better and carries 50 lbs more. If you are driving to the water, take the 11.
Inflatable or a hardshell like the Compass?
Storage decides it for most people. The Hobie Compass is a rigid hull that paddles better and needs no setup, but it is 12 feet of boat that has to live somewhere. The iTrek 11 goes in a closet. If you have the space, the hardshell is the better boat on the water.
What is dropstitch?
Thousands of threads running between the top and bottom skins inside the chamber. It lets the hull hold high pressure without ballooning, which is what makes the floor stiff enough to feel like a deck instead of a mattress.
What is the MirageDrive GT?
The drive Hobie fits to the iTrek and Passport boats, paired with Glide Technology and Kick-Up Fins. Hobie describes Glide Technology as "roller bearings at key friction points reduce resistance for a smooth and efficient ride". What are Kick-Up Fins?
Fins that retract by themselves on impact. Hobie’s own line is "Logs, kelp, shallows, rocks, no problem." On an inflatable that matters twice over, because the fins are the only rigid thing hanging below you.
What happens if I puncture it?
The hull is 550 denier PVC, which is heavy material, not pool-toy vinyl. It is also multi-chamber, so one chamber losing air does not sink the boat. Treat it like any inflatable: keep it off sharp gravel, do not drag it loaded, and rinse and dry it before it goes in the bag.
Does it come with a paddle?
Hobie does not itemise a paddle for this model. Call us at (615) 696-7887 and we will confirm exactly what is in the box before you order.
Do inflatables get the same warranty as the hardshells?
No, and this is worth knowing. Hobie covers 2019-and-newer kayaks for 3 years but rates inflatable kayaks at 2 years. Same defect coverage in materials, manufacturing and design, one year less of it. Claims still go through us as the selling dealer, within 30 days of finding the problem.
How should I store it?
Deflated, clean and completely dry, in the bag. Not inflated in a hot garage, not damp. Improper storage is a named warranty exclusion and it is also just how inflatables die early.
Do I need a life jacket with it?
Yes, and the law requires one on board. The Old Town Outfitter Universal is a USCG Type III cut thin through the back.
How long is the Hobie warranty?
Hobie covers 2 years on inflatable kayaks on 2019 and newer models against defects in materials, manufacturing and design. Hobie repairs or replaces at their discretion.
Who handles a warranty claim?
Hobie routes warranty claims through the authorized dealer you bought from, which is us. Within 30 days of finding a defect, bring the boat and your proof of purchase to us and we handle it from there. That is worth knowing before you buy a big boat from a marketplace seller with no dealer behind it.
What voids coverage?
Normal wear and discoloration, abuse, skipped maintenance, hitting submerged objects, mooring or storing the boat in the water, improper transport or storage, weather damage, modifications, and rental or commercial use. One exclusion catches people out: beaching the boat without retracting the MirageDrive and rudder first. Pull both up before you slide onto sand or gravel.
How does the Hobie iTrek 11 ship?
Two ways. If you are inside our delivery area, local delivery shows up as a shipping option at checkout and we bring the boat to you ourselves. We call ahead to set a meet-up, and since we do the unloading there is nothing for you to inspect or sign at the curb. Otherwise it ships LTL freight with a carrier running a 99.9% damage-free rate.
