Damage Free Guarantee

At Caney Fork Outdoors, we work with top-tier freight carriers across the country to ensure your kayak arrives quickly, safely, and ready for the water.

We’ve also partnered with a white-glove delivery service designed to greatly reduce the risk of shipping damage. Because of this enhanced delivery process, you will no longer be required to sign and physically inspect your kayak at delivery. This carrier maintains an exceptional 99.97% damage-free delivery rate, giving you added peace of mind from warehouse to doorstep.

In the rare event that damage does occur, Caney Fork Outdoors will take care of the issue as long as it is reported within 2 hours of delivery and clear photos are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic (such as light scratches or minor surface dents) and does not affect performance or structure, we will provide a repair kit when applicable. If you prefer a replacement for cosmetic issues, a 20% restocking fee may apply.

For clarity, “damage” refers to any condition that compromises the structural integrity of the kayak hull or would void the manufacturer’s warranty as confirmed with the vendor.

Bending Branches Warranty

Paddles

Bending Branches guarantees its paddles against manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase.

  • Coverage: 2 years from the date of purchase.
  • What it covers: Defects in materials and workmanship. Bending Branches reviews each case and decides what qualifies.
  • How a claim is handled: Repair or replacement. Bending Branches states it honors all reasonable requests.

Wood paddles: a worn-looking Rockgard tip is normal

Every wood paddle is hand dipped in varnish four times, then the drip residue is burnished off the tip. That can leave the Rockgard tip looking worn, and it shows up most on the black tips. It is normal and does not affect how the paddle performs.

Filing a claim

Warranty claims are handled by Bending Branches. Submit yours on their warranty page with photos and a description of the issue, and a Bending Branches representative will respond with next steps.

File a claim and read Bending Branches' full warranty policy.

The best-selling kayak fishing paddle on the market, with high-performance features and 15cm of adjustable length.

The blade is smoother, larger and stronger than the one it replaced, giving more horsepower and control with every stroke, a stiffer feel, quieter entry and exit, and less chance for flutter. The upgraded fiberglass and nylon material is stronger and thicker for long-term durability. The oversized blade is the ideal size for horsepower and control with heavily loaded fishing kayaks, without being overly fatiguing, heavy or flexible.

The 100% fiberglass shaft is durable and strong, yet lighter than commodity aluminum, and it is warm, flexible and forgiving compared to aluminum. Versa-Lok adds 15cm of length for wider kayaks and elevated seating positions plus infinite feathering, is corrosion-resistant, and is backed by structural and cyclical testing plus a decade of on-water use.

Bending Branches Angler Classic Versa-Lok Questions, Answered

Is the Versa-Lok worth it over the snap-button Classic?

If you fish more than one boat, share the paddle, or want a feather angle other than 0 or 60, yes. You get 15cm of length adjustment and infinite feathering. It costs 1.5 oz, since the snap-button Classic is 35.5 oz and this is 37 oz.

How do the sizes work?

They are ranges: 240-255, 250-265 and 260-275cm. Pick the range your ideal length sits inside, then adjust within it on the water. Bending Branches sized these for wider kayaks and elevated seating positions.

Will the clamp hold?

Bending Branches backs the Versa-Lok clamping system with structural and cyclical testing plus a decade of on-water use, and it is corrosion-resistant. The carbon ferrule insert keeps the joint tight rather than letting it wear loose.

Why fiberglass instead of carbon?

Price and feel. Fiberglass is lighter than commodity aluminum, warm in the hands, and more flexible and forgiving. Carbon is lighter and stiffer and costs more. The Angler Ace Versa-Lok is the carbon-shaft version if you want that step up.

Electric Green or Tidal Blue?

Bending Branches puts it plainly: Tidal Blue for the discrete approach, Electric Green for safety and standing out.

How does it ship?

Ships parcel, nationwide. It breaks down into two pieces and boxes up, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
