Damage Free Guarantee

At Caney Fork Outdoors, we work with top-tier freight carriers across the country to ensure your kayak arrives quickly, safely, and ready for the water.

We’ve also partnered with a white-glove delivery service designed to greatly reduce the risk of shipping damage. Because of this enhanced delivery process, you will no longer be required to sign and physically inspect your kayak at delivery. This carrier maintains an exceptional 99.97% damage-free delivery rate, giving you added peace of mind from warehouse to doorstep.

In the rare event that damage does occur, Caney Fork Outdoors will take care of the issue as long as it is reported within 2 hours of delivery and clear photos are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic (such as light scratches or minor surface dents) and does not affect performance or structure, we will provide a repair kit when applicable. If you prefer a replacement for cosmetic issues, a 20% restocking fee may apply.

For clarity, “damage” refers to any condition that compromises the structural integrity of the kayak hull or would void the manufacturer’s warranty as confirmed with the vendor.

Bending Branches Warranty

Paddles

Bending Branches guarantees its paddles against manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase.

  • Coverage: 2 years from the date of purchase.
  • What it covers: Defects in materials and workmanship. Bending Branches reviews each case and decides what qualifies.
  • How a claim is handled: Repair or replacement. Bending Branches states it honors all reasonable requests.

Wood paddles: a worn-looking Rockgard tip is normal

Every wood paddle is hand dipped in varnish four times, then the drip residue is burnished off the tip. That can leave the Rockgard tip looking worn, and it shows up most on the black tips. It is normal and does not affect how the paddle performs.

Filing a claim

Warranty claims are handled by Bending Branches. Submit yours on their warranty page with photos and a description of the issue, and a Bending Branches representative will respond with next steps.

The Angler Pro Carbon is the lightest kayak fishing paddle Bending Branches makes, and the gold standard of the line. A 100% carbon shaft and a compression molded carbon blade deliver a smooth, high-efficiency stroke.

The blade uses a high-tech spread tow weave, which raises strength, stiffness and impact resistance while taking weight out. That combination suits anglers covering long distances or anyone who puts weight above everything else. Proprietary Lam-Lok technology, patent pending, protects the blade edges and dramatically extends the life of the paddle.

The oversized blade is sized for horsepower and control behind a heavily loaded fishing kayak. It runs slightly bigger than some fishing paddles, and that size is what handles trickier conditions and more weight. The shaft is ovalized where your hands go for comfort, control and fewer blisters.

Key Features

  • Lightest in the Line: The lightest kayak fishing paddle Bending Branches builds.
  • Lam-Lok Edge Protection: Patent pending, protects blade edges and dramatically extends paddle life.
  • Spread Tow Weave: More strength, stiffness and impact resistance at less weight.
  • 100% Carbon Shaft and Blade: A smooth, high-efficiency stroke.
  • Oversized Blade: Horsepower and control for a heavily loaded fishing kayak.
  • Ovalized Grip: More comfort and control, and fewer blisters.
  • Plus Ferrule: Adjustable length and feather angle.
  • 40-Inch Tape Measure: Printed on the shaft to verify a catch on the spot.
  • Hand Built in Osceola, Wisconsin: Made in the USA, 2-year manufacturing warranty.

Bending Branches Angler Pro Carbon Questions, Answered

What is Lam-Lok?

Bending Branches' proprietary edge protection, patent pending. It guards the blade edges, which is where a carbon paddle usually takes its damage against gunwales, docks and rock. Bending Branches says it dramatically extends the life of the paddle, and edge protection is the difference between a carbon blade that lasts and one that chips.

What does spread tow weave do?

It increases strength, stiffness and impact resistance while reducing weight. Bending Branches calls it out as ideal for anglers going long distances or prioritizing weight. Stiffness is the part you feel in the stroke, because a stiff blade puts your pull into the boat instead of into blade flex.

Angler Pro Carbon or Angler Pro?

Same oversized blade footprint and the same carbon shaft. The Pro Carbon adds the compression molded carbon blade, the spread tow weave and Lam-Lok edge protection, and it is the lightest paddle Bending Branches offers for anglers. The standard Angler Pro uses compression molded fiberglass, which has more flex and forgiveness and costs less.

Is a carbon blade tough enough to fish out of?

This one is built for it. Lam-Lok protects the edges and the spread tow weave adds impact resistance on top of the stiffness. It is still a carbon blade, so it is not the one to pry off the bottom with, but it is engineered for the abuse a fishing paddle actually takes.

Can I use the tape measure to check a legal fish?

Not officially. Bending Branches states it is a sizing guide, not an official measuring tool for competitive angling or for determining the legality of a catch, and the printing can vary in accuracy from the manufacturing process. Use it for a quick check on the water.

What is the warranty?

A 2-year manufacturing warranty from Bending Branches. Hand built in Osceola, Wisconsin by their own team of paddlers.

How does it ship?

Ships parcel, nationwide. It breaks down into two pieces and boxes up, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
