Damage Free Guarantee

At Caney Fork Outdoors, we work with top-tier freight carriers across the country to ensure your kayak arrives quickly, safely, and ready for the water.

We’ve also partnered with a white-glove delivery service designed to greatly reduce the risk of shipping damage. Because of this enhanced delivery process, you will no longer be required to sign and physically inspect your kayak at delivery. This carrier maintains an exceptional 99.97% damage-free delivery rate, giving you added peace of mind from warehouse to doorstep.

In the rare event that damage does occur, Caney Fork Outdoors will take care of the issue as long as it is reported within 2 hours of delivery and clear photos are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic (such as light scratches or minor surface dents) and does not affect performance or structure, we will provide a repair kit when applicable. If you prefer a replacement for cosmetic issues, a 20% restocking fee may apply.

For clarity, “damage” refers to any condition that compromises the structural integrity of the kayak hull or would void the manufacturer’s warranty as confirmed with the vendor.

Bending Branches Warranty

Paddles

Bending Branches guarantees its paddles against manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase.

  • Coverage: 2 years from the date of purchase.
  • What it covers: Defects in materials and workmanship. Bending Branches reviews each case and decides what qualifies.
  • How a claim is handled: Repair or replacement. Bending Branches states it honors all reasonable requests.

Wood paddles: a worn-looking Rockgard tip is normal

Every wood paddle is hand dipped in varnish four times, then the drip residue is burnished off the tip. That can leave the Rockgard tip looking worn, and it shows up most on the black tips. It is normal and does not affect how the paddle performs.

Filing a claim

Warranty claims are handled by Bending Branches. Submit yours on their warranty page with photos and a description of the issue, and a Bending Branches representative will respond with next steps.

File a claim and read Bending Branches' full warranty policy.

The award-winning Angler Pro is the best of the best and the most used paddle by experienced anglers and ProStaffers alike. It has taken Angler Paddle of the Year six times in the YakAngler consumer awards.

Blade patterns are designed and selected by the Bending Branches ProStaff and Ambassador teams. The compression molded fiberglass blades are known for their weight and their longevity, and the cross dimensional fiber weave gives them a slight amount of flex and forgiveness. The blade shape is renowned for a silky-smooth forward stroke with zero tolerance for fluttering, which preserves your energy on longer trips.

The oversized blade is the ideal size for horsepower and control with heavily loaded fishing kayaks. It is slightly bigger than some fishing paddles, and that size is what handles trickier conditions and more weight. The 100% carbon shaft is the lightest material available with a tight, secure weave, and it is ovalized where your hands go for comfort, control and fewer blisters. This is the snap-button version: fixed length, tight fitting, secure and long-lasting, with a 3-hole design for 0 or 60 degree feather angles, left or right hand control.

Bending Branches Angler Pro Questions, Answered

What does the snap-button ferrule give up?

Adjustability. It is fixed length and feather sets to 0 or 60 degrees rather than anywhere in between. What you get back is the most robust connection Bending Branches builds. Their own words: not as technical as some modern ferrule systems, but one of the more robust options, with no wobbling or inefficiencies like commodity systems.

What makes the Angler Pro blade different?

The pattern is designed and selected by the Bending Branches ProStaff and Ambassador teams, who fish out of kayaks constantly. The shape is built for a smooth forward stroke with zero tolerance for fluttering, so the blade tracks through the pull instead of wandering and costing you energy.

Why is the blade oversized?

A loaded fishing kayak takes more to move than a bare recreational boat. Bending Branches runs this blade slightly bigger than some fishing paddles on purpose, and the larger surface is what handles trickier conditions and more weight on board.

What length should I order?

It comes in 240, 250, 260, 270 and 280cm. Wider kayaks and higher seat positions call for a longer paddle, and fishing kayaks are both. Since the snap-button ferrule is fixed length, it is worth getting right the first time.

Can I use the tape measure to check a legal fish?

Not officially. Bending Branches states it is a sizing guide, not an official measuring tool for competitive angling or for determining the legality of a catch, and the printing can vary in accuracy from the manufacturing process.

How does it ship?

Ships parcel, nationwide. It breaks down into two pieces and boxes up, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
