We’ve also partnered with a white-glove delivery service designed to greatly reduce the risk of shipping damage. Because of this enhanced delivery process, you will no longer be required to sign and physically inspect your kayak at delivery. This carrier maintains an exceptional 99.97% damage-free delivery rate, giving you added peace of mind from warehouse to doorstep.
In the rare event that damage does occur, Caney Fork Outdoors will take care of the issue as long as it is reported within 2 hours of delivery and clear photos are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic (such as light scratches or minor surface dents) and does not affect performance or structure, we will provide a repair kit when applicable. If you prefer a replacement for cosmetic issues, a 20% restocking fee may apply.
For clarity, “damage” refers to any condition that compromises the structural integrity of the kayak hull or would void the manufacturer’s warranty as confirmed with the vendor.
Bending Branches Warranty
Paddles
Bending Branches guarantees its paddles against manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase.
- Coverage: 2 years from the date of purchase.
- What it covers: Defects in materials and workmanship. Bending Branches reviews each case and decides what qualifies.
- How a claim is handled: Repair or replacement. Bending Branches states it honors all reasonable requests.
Wood paddles: a worn-looking Rockgard tip is normal
Every wood paddle is hand dipped in varnish four times, then the drip residue is burnished off the tip. That can leave the Rockgard tip looking worn, and it shows up most on the black tips. It is normal and does not affect how the paddle performs.
Filing a claim
Warranty claims are handled by Bending Branches. Submit yours on their warranty page with photos and a description of the issue, and a Bending Branches representative will respond with next steps.
File a claim and read Bending Branches' full warranty policy.

Bending Branches Impression Solo Questions, Answered
Why use a double blade in a canoe?
To stop correcting. With a single blade in a solo canoe you are either throwing a correction into every stroke or switching sides constantly. Bending Branches built the Impression Solo to eliminate both, in ideal conditions and in wind.
260cm or 280cm?
A canoe seat sits well above the water, which is why these run so much longer than kayak paddles. Wider canoes and higher seats call for the 280cm. A narrower solo canoe with a lower seat is usually right at 260cm.
What does the ovalized shaft do?
It is shaped oval where your hands sit rather than fully round, so you know which way the blades are turned without looking. On a long paddle that is one less thing to think about every stroke.
Is 44 oz a lot?
It is the heaviest paddle in this line, and a long all-wood paddle is going to be. You are buying it for the beauty and the buoyancy of wood, and the weight comes with that. Bending Branches does not build a lighter version of this one.
Should I keep my single blade?
Yes. A single blade still wins in tight quarters and shallow water where a 280cm double blade is awkward. Most solo canoeists carry both and pick based on the water in front of them.
How does it ship?
Ships parcel, nationwide. It breaks down into two pieces and boxes up, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
