The Bonafide SKF117 is a hybrid stand-up and sit-down fishing kayak inspired by salt flats skiffs. Bonafide set out to make a versatile fishing kayak that takes you from sight fishing on the marsh to paddling with the family on the lake, at any skill level.
The hull blends the stability and efficiency of a catamaran with the maneuverability of a traditional paddleboard, and at 9.5" deep it drafts shallow. Bonafide rates it a 10 for stability and a 10 for flat water. It runs a spring-loaded skeg, HiRise seating and molded-in under-seat storage, it is Bonafide Sidekick Kayak Cart compatible so the wheels ride with it, and it is made in the USA.

Bonafide SKF117 Questions, Answered
Is the Bonafide SKF117 a kayak or a paddleboard?
Bonafide calls it a hybrid, and the hull is the reason. It blends the stability and efficiency of a catamaran with the maneuverability of a traditional paddleboard. You sit or stand, you paddle it like a kayak, and it drafts shallow like a skiff.
What is the 9.5" depth on the SKF117 good for?
Skinny water. That is the shallowest profile in the Bonafide lineup, which is the point of a salt flats skiff inspired design. Mangroves, marsh and flats are where it earns its keep, and it also paddles lakes and rivers.
How stable is the Bonafide SKF117?
Bonafide rates it a 10 for stability and a 10 for flat water. At 34.5" wide with a hybrid cat hull, standing and sight casting is what it was built around.
How do I get the SKF117 to the water?
Two built-in options. It is Sidekick compatible, so the Bonafide Sidekick Kayak Cart onboard wheel system rides with the kayak, and it is also Tag A Long wheel compatible. Bonafide lists 78 lbs with the seat, and one of those wheel systems is worth having.
SKF117 or SS107?
Similar width and capacity. The SKF117 is a foot longer, 9.5" deep and built around shallow saltwater and versatility. The SS107 is the compact stand-and-fish kayak with a 15.5" deck height. Skinny water points to the SKF117, tight water and portability to the SS107.
What is the Bonafide SKF117 warranty?
The hull carries lifetime coverage against manufacturing defects for the original retail customer, plus 5 years against normal wear and tear, and components are covered for 1 year from purchase. To activate it, register on the Bonafide website within 14 days and keep your receipt. Then file the claim with the dealer you bought from, with photos or video of the issue.
Where is the Bonafide SKF117 made?
It is built in the USA by Bonafide, a brand of BIG Adventures, LLC.
How does the Bonafide SKF117 ship?
Two ways. If you are inside our delivery area, local delivery shows up as a shipping option at checkout and we bring the boat to you ourselves. We call ahead to set a meet-up, and since we do the unloading there is nothing for you to inspect or sign at the curb. Otherwise it ships LTL freight with a carrier running a 99.9% damage-free rate. On a freight delivery, look the boat over before you sign the receipt and write down any damage you see. That one step protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours. We email the full details once your order is placed.
