Shipping Damage Free Guarantee
We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.
If we hand deliver it
Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.
If it ships LTL freight
Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.
What we cover
Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.
Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.
Jackson Kayak Warranty
Jackson Kayak covers substantial defects in materials and workmanship in the hull and outfitting of boats sold new by an Authorized Dealer. Select and Blem boats included.
- Coverage: 3 years from the purchase date on boats bought September 1, 2021 or later. Demo boats start the day they ship from the factory. Flex Drive units get 2 years.
- Who it covers: Original owner only. Non-transferable, proof of purchase required.
- Not covered: Normal wear like scratches, chipping and fading. Also abuse, misuse, commercial use, structural alterations, damage from aftermarket outrigger or wheel systems, and boats sold as-is, as seconds, or used.
- How a claim is handled: Year one is free repair or replacement with free shipping. Year two is a full build at 70% off retail plus shipping. Year three is a full build at 50% of MSRP plus shipping. Seats and drives are excluded on fishing and exploration models.
Replacements require proof the original boat was decommissioned. Exceptions apply. Read Jackson Kayak's full warranty policy.
The Jackson Kayak Bite Angler is the most affordable sit-on-top fishing kayak in Jackson Kayak's paddle lineup. It uses the same proven Bite hull with a fishing-specific deck — four tackle box recesses, flush mount rod holders on both sides of the seat, and bungee storage fore and aft. At 72 lbs without a seat, it's light enough to car-top and launch solo.
The open deck is wide enough to stand and cast from. The four-bolt stern pattern accepts PowerPole and trolling motor mounts. The Bite Angler fishes well on local lakes, rivers, ponds, and inshore saltwater — a capable all-around fishing kayak at a price that makes sense for anglers who are getting started or looking for a reliable second boat.
2026 models include the Comfort Seat 5.0. Jackson Kayak updated the full fishing lineup with a lower center of gravity and better all-day support. Models from 2025 and earlier include the Comfort Seat 4.0.

Been out a few times and love the Bite Angler. Seat is super comfortable and over all very stable. I like the large cockpit, gives you plenty of room for gear and you can also deal With fish easily.
If I were to buy another Jackson kayak I would buy from Caney Fork Outdoors. They are a great company to deal with. Super responsive with questions and shipping.

Fantastic kayak that is stable and comfortable for an XL man. (Six foot 7)
I got two - I was going to get the Bite Rec but paid a little extra for the better seat and so forth. I've had them out twice and it's been awesome. The first trip we were out for 4 hours or so and I was super comfortable the entire time. I'm a pretty big guy at 6'3 - well over 300 lbs. The Kayak's floated me just fine in the forward positions. If I scooted all the way back - the rear would take on a little water - but you can just sit forward or put in some plugs if you are heavy like me. Even all the way forward I can basically stretch my legs all the way out so - no worries there.
Got 2 of these for me and my wife. They are super stable. First time out we were out for 4-5 hours in the open Tennessee River and back waters of Chattanooga. The boat was super comfortable. My wife has a bad back and she said her back was fine afterwards. Would recommend for anyone.
