Shipping Damage Free Guarantee

Accessory Shipments

Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.

It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.

Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.

Kayak Shipments

We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.

If we hand deliver it

Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.

If it ships LTL freight

Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

What we cover

Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.

Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

Native Watercraft Warranty

Kayaks and Drives

  • Hulls: Limited lifetime against manufacturing defects, plus 5 years against normal wear and tear as determined by the Native Watercraft warranty team.
  • Who it covers: Original retail customer. Grade 2 cosmetically blemished kayaks carry the same coverage.
  • Components: 1 year from the original date of purchase.
  • Propel pedal drive: 5 years from the purchase date against defects in workmanship and materials.
  • Rental, livery or demo use: 1 year on the hull and all components.

Register within 14 days

Native Watercraft requires you to register your kayak, and your Propel drive if it has one, on the Native Watercraft website within 14 days of purchase for the warranty to activate. Keep your sales receipt as proof of purchase.

Not covered

Normal wear and color discoloration, structural or dimensional alterations, damage from improper storage or transport including ratchet straps, damage from winching the boat onto a trailer, use the kayak was not designed for, rental or commercial service, and color variation between boats. On the Propel drive, also skipped maintenance, transporting the kayak with the drive still in it, non-approved lubricants, and crank arms tightened past 26 ft/lb.

Filing a claim

Native Watercraft requires every warranty claim to come through the dealer you bought from. That is us, so we handle it. Email helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com with your proof of purchase, the model, the kayak and Propel serial numbers, a description of the issue, and photos or video. We submit it to Native Watercraft and follow it through.

The Hurricane Osprey 109 is a 43 pound sit on top kayak with an elevated frame seat and a padded spot on the bow for your dog. At 10'9.5" long and 33" wide, it is easy to carry by yourself and steady from the first paddle stroke.

Hurricane's Relax hull is tuned for stability and smooth, easy turning, which makes the Osprey 109 a natural fit for lakes, ponds and slow rivers. The frame seat puts you up high for a clear view of the water, whether you are casting a line, watching wildlife or floating with no plan at all. Sealect Designs angled footbraces set your feet at the right angle for that higher seat.

The deck is open from the seat to the bow. The K-9 Comfort Pad gives your dog a place to ride up front, footwell pads cover the floor, and reinforced center scuppers drain water off the deck. A gasketed H-Pod keeps small gear within reach, the stern tankwell holds a cooler or dry bag under bungee, and a Taco paddle holder locks your paddle to the deck when your hands are busy.

Four carry handles help on the walk to the water. The frame seat lifts out and takes 4 pounds with it, so you load 43 pounds and drop the seat back in at the launch.

Hurricane Osprey 109 Sit On Top Kayak Questions, Answered

How much does the Osprey 109 weigh?

43 pounds without the seat and 47 pounds with the frame seat installed. Pull the seat to load and carry, then drop it back in at the water. Four carry handles help on the walk to the launch.

Can I take my dog in the Osprey 109?

Yes. The bow carries Hurricane's K-9 Comfort Pad, a padded spot up front built for a dog to ride on. The open deck gives them room to settle in, and the 325 pound capacity covers you, your dog and your gear together.

What is the weight capacity of the Osprey 109?

325 pounds. That is the total for you, your gear, a cooler and a dog if one is riding along.

Can I fish from the Osprey 109?

Yes. The elevated frame seat gives you a higher view for casting and spotting fish, and the open floor keeps tackle at your feet. The 4-inch gear track takes track-mounted accessories like a rod holder or camera mount, sold separately. It fits right in on lakes, ponds and slow rivers.

Should I get the Osprey 109 or the Osprey 120?

Both share the Relax hull, elevated frame seat, K-9 bow pad, gasketed H-Pod and a 325 pound capacity. The Osprey 109 is 10'9.5" long and 33" wide, so it turns quickly on small lakes, ponds and winding creeks, and it adds a Taco paddle holder. The Hurricane Osprey 120 is 12'2" long and 31.5" wide, so it tracks straighter and covers distance with less effort on open water.

Does the seat come out of the Osprey 109?

Yes. The 1st Class frame seat locks in with camlock security knobs and lifts out when you want it out. Removing it takes 4 pounds off the kayak.

Where does my gear go on the Osprey 109?

Phone, keys and snacks go in the gasketed H-Pod within reach of the seat. A cooler, crate or dry bag rides in the large stern tankwell under bungee. Your paddle locks into the Taco paddle holder. For stash space at the bow, add the Hurricane Osprey Bow Dream Weaver, sold separately.

How does the Osprey 109 ship?

Two ways. If you are inside our delivery area, local delivery shows up as a shipping option at checkout and we bring the boat to you ourselves. We call ahead to set a meet-up, and since we do the unloading there is nothing for you to inspect or sign at the curb. Otherwise it ships LTL freight with a carrier running a 99.9% damage-free rate. On a freight delivery, look the boat over before you sign the receipt and write down any damage you see. That one step protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours. We email the full details once your order is placed.
