Shipping Damage Free Guarantee

Accessory Shipments

Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.

It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.

Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.

Kayak Shipments

We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.

If we hand deliver it

Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.

If it ships LTL freight

Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

What we cover

Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.

Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

The Badfish 7" Click Fin is the longer center fin option for your Flyweight. More fin in the water means the board holds a line, so you spend fewer strokes correcting and more of them moving forward on lakes and slow river stretches.

It clicks in and pulls out by hand. No grub screw, no fin key, no plate to drop in the river. That also means you can carry it as a swap and change the way the board tracks in the time it takes to walk from the truck to the water.

This is a click-fin fin. It only fits click-fin boxes. It will not fit a US longboard box, a 2-tab box, or an FCS box, so check what your board has before you order.

Specifications

  • Size: 7"
  • Includes: 1 fin
  • Fits: Click-fin boxes only
  • Position: Center
  • Installation: Tool-free
  • Weight: 0.6 lb

Key Features

  • Longer Center Fin: More depth in the water for straighter tracking than the stock fin.
  • Tool-Free: Clicks in and pulls out by hand, so there is nothing to lose at the put-in.
  • Built for the Flyweight: Sized as the tracking upgrade for that board.
  • Swappable: Change how the board rides between a lake day and a river day.
  • Click-Fin Only: Purpose-built for the click-fin box, not an adapter.

Badfish 7" Click Fin Questions, Answered

Will the Badfish 7" Click Fin fit my board?

Only if your board has a click-fin box. Look at the fin slot: a click-fin box takes a fin that snaps in with no hardware. If your box needs a screw and a plate it is a US longboard box, and this fin will not fit.

What does a longer center fin actually do?

It holds a straighter line. A deeper fin resists the board sliding sideways, so each stroke drives you forward instead of turning you off course and you correct less. The trade is that it turns less willingly and needs more water under it.

Which board is this for?

Badfish sizes it as the longer tracking option for the Flyweight. It works on any click-fin board where you want more tracking, but that is the board it was built around.

Is it one fin or a set?

One fin. It is a center fin, so a single fin is the full setup. The Click Fin Pairs in 1", 2" and 4.5" are the side-bite sets that come in twos.

Do I need a fin key or screws?

No. It clicks in and pulls out by hand. There is no grub screw, no fin key and no plate, which is one less small part to drop in the water.

Can I run it in shallow, rocky rivers?

Seven inches is a lot of fin for skinny water and it will find rocks. For shallow, bony river running the 1" or 2" Soft Flex Click Fin Pair is the better call. Use the 7" where the water is deep enough that tracking matters more than clearance.

How do I know which Badfish fin box I have?

Four types show up across these boards. Click-fin takes no hardware. US longboard is the long slot with a screw and plate. 2-tab takes the Two-Tab Tri Pack. FCS takes the Thruster Surf Fin Sets. If you are unsure, call us at (615) 696-7887 before ordering.

Should I keep the stock fin?

Yes. Fins are the cheapest way to change how a board rides, and having both means you can set up for tracking on a flat day and swap down for a shallow one. They take up no room in the bag.
