Shipping Damage Free Guarantee

Accessory Shipments

Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.

It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.

Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.

Kayak Shipments

We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.

If we hand deliver it

Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.

If it ships LTL freight

Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

What we cover

Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.

Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

The Badfish Oval SUP Paddle is the no-nonsense adjustable paddle. Oval aluminum shaft, hydro-dipped fiberglass reinforced nylon blade, adjustable from 70" to 85". It is the paddle you learn on, and later the one that lives in the truck as the spare when a friend comes along.

The oval shaft is worth noticing. A round shaft rotates in your hand and you lose track of blade angle without looking; an oval one tells your palm which way the blade is facing. That is a real difference over a long day.

It breaks into three pieces and fits inside a backpack board bag, so the whole kit travels as one load to the lake or the river.

Badfish Oval Paddle Board Paddle Questions, Answered

What length should I set it to?

A common starting point is roughly 8 to 10 inches over your height for flatwater, shorter for surf and river. The 70" to 85" range covers most paddlers. Set it, paddle it, and adjust rather than trying to calculate it exactly.

How does it compare to the Carbon Performance Paddle?

Weight and stiffness. This is 3 pounds of aluminum and nylon. The Carbon Performance is 25 ounces of full carbon and transfers more of each stroke into the board. This paddle costs a fraction of it and takes abuse better. Buy this to start or as a spare, buy carbon when you are paddling enough to feel the difference.

Does it fit in a board bag?

Yes. That is why it is a 3-piece. It packs inside a Badfish backpack board bag alongside the board, so the whole setup is one carry.

Why an oval shaft?

Because a round shaft spins in your grip. An oval shaft indexes to your hand so you always know the blade angle without checking, which keeps your stroke consistent when you stop thinking about it.

Will it survive a rocky river?

Yes. Aluminum and reinforced nylon is the combination that handles pushing off rocks and gravel bars. It is heavier than carbon and much harder to break, which is the right trade on a river.

Does it float?

Do not rely on it. Keep a hand on it or leash it in current. A paddle that gets away from you in moving water is usually gone.
