Shipping Damage Free Guarantee

Accessory Shipments

Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.

It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.

Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.

Kayak Shipments

We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.

If we hand deliver it

Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.

If it ships LTL freight

Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

What we cover

Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.

Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

The Badfish SK8 Board Bag is the padded travel bag for the hard SK8. Boards rarely get hurt on the water. They get hurt in the truck bed, against a tailgate, and set down on gravel, and the padding here takes those hits instead of the board.

The detail that matters is where the reinforcement sits. Cordura wear patches cover the nose and tail, which is exactly where a board bag wears through from being dragged and dropped. Protect those two points and the rest of the bag lasts years longer.

A removable shoulder strap handles the walk from the lot to the wave, and the zipper is heavy enough to keep working after a season of sandy hands. It fits all sizes of the hard SK8.

Badfish SK8 Board Bag Questions, Answered

Does it fit my SK8?

It fits all sizes of the hard SK8. If you have the Inflatable SK8, you want the Inflatable Paddle Board Backpack Board Bag in the SURF size instead, which is what ships with that board.

How is this different from a board sock?

A sock is thin terry cloth that stops sun and scuffs in the garage. This is padded, and padding is what you need on a roof rack, in a truck bed or on a flight. If the board is travelling, buy the bag.

Can I fly with it?

It is a padded travel bag, so it is the right tool. Airlines differ on oversize fees and handling, so check with the carrier, and stuff towels around the nose and tail for a long trip.

Why is it 7.5 pounds?

Because the padding is real. A lighter bag means less foam between your board and whatever it hits. That weight is the protection.

Should I leave the fins in?

No. Pull removable fins first. Fins left in press against the bag and load the fin boxes in transit, which slowly damages the thing you are protecting.

Can I store a wet board in it?

For the drive home, yes. Do not leave it zipped up for days. Trapped water means mildew in the lining and, eventually, a problem with the board.
