Accessory Shipments
Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.
It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.
Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.
Kayak Shipments
We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.
If we hand deliver it
Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.
If it ships LTL freight
Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.
What we cover
Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.
Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

Inflatable Boards
Badfish covers defects in workmanship and materials on its inflatable boards.
- Coverage: 5 years from the original purchase date.
- Who it covers: Original purchaser only. Serial number and proof of purchase required.
- Not covered: Normal wear and tear, punctures and previous repairs, improper care, handling or storage, heat damage from direct sun, a hot vehicle or a closed board bag, and cosmetic blemishes.
- How a claim is handled: Badfish repairs or replaces boards it confirms are defective.
Rafts, Accessories and Hardware
Badfish does not publish a set term on these.
Filing a claim
Warranty claims are handled by Badfish. Email customerservice@badfishsup.com with the serial number, purchase date, a description of the issue, and photos of the serial number and the damage. Badfish responds within 1 to 2 business days.

The Badfish Surf Belt moves your Re-Leash attachment point from your ankle to your waist. Plenty of river surfers prefer it there: the leash stays clear of your feet on the board, and the release sits at your waist where your hands already are.
The belt is webbing with a neoprene interior so it does not slide around on you, and the Fastex buckle is worn in back and out of the way. You trim the webbing to your own fit.
This is the belt only. It is the waist attachment for a Badfish Re-Leash, not a leash itself, and it does not replace one.

Badfish Surf Belt Questions, Answered
Does this come with a leash?
No. The Surf Belt is the waist attachment point only. You still need a Badfish Re-Leash, either the 6' Straight for river surfing or the 8' Coiled for river running and flatwater.
Why wear a leash at the waist instead of the ankle?
Two reasons river surfers give. The leash stays off the deck and out from under your feet while you move around the board, and the release ends up at your waist where you can find it fast without reaching down.
Is a waist leash safer on a river?
What makes a river setup safe is the quick release, not where it is mounted. A waist belt puts that release somewhere you can reach it under load, which is a real advantage. Any leash on moving water must be releasable, ankle or waist. Never use a fixed surf leash on a river.
How does it size?
One belt, trim to fit. You cut the webbing to your waist, so it works across a wide range of sizes. Cut long on the first pass; you can always take more off.
Where does the buckle sit?
In the back. That keeps hard plastic off your stomach when you go down on the board and keeps the front clear for the leash attachment.
Will it work with a leash from another brand?
Badfish built it for the Re-Leash and that is the pairing we can vouch for. Another brand's releasable leash may attach, but check the hardware yourself before you rely on it in current.
