Shipping Damage Free Guarantee
Accessory Shipments
Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.
It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.
Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.
Kayak Shipments
We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.
If we hand deliver it
Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.
If it ships LTL freight
Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.
What we cover
Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.
Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.
Bending Branches Warranty
Paddles
Bending Branches guarantees its paddles against manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase.
- Coverage: 2 years from the date of purchase.
- What it covers: Defects in materials and workmanship. Bending Branches reviews each case and decides what qualifies.
- How a claim is handled: Repair or replacement. Bending Branches states it honors all reasonable requests.
Wood paddles: a worn-looking Rockgard tip is normal
Every wood paddle is hand dipped in varnish four times, then the drip residue is burnished off the tip. That can leave the Rockgard tip looking worn, and it shows up most on the black tips. It is normal and does not affect how the paddle performs.
Filing a claim
Warranty claims are handled by Bending Branches. Submit yours on their warranty page with photos and a description of the issue, and a Bending Branches representative will respond with next steps.
File a claim and read Bending Branches' full warranty policy.
The Angler Scout is the entry point into the Bending Branches fishing line, and it keeps the two features that make an angler paddle worth owning. A tape measure printed on the shaft for checking a fish, and a hook retrieval system in the blade for getting a snagged lure back.
Sturdy epX engineered polymer blades bookend an ovalized aluminum shaft. The oval shape tells your hands where the blade is without looking, which matters when your attention is on a rod instead of your grip.
Feather sets to 0 or 60 degrees, left or right hand control. It comes in 220cm through 260cm in 10cm increments.

Bending Branches Angler Scout Questions, Answered
What do you get on the Angler Scout that a regular paddle skips?
The two angler features. A tape measure printed on the shaft, and a hook retrieval system built into the blade. Everything else in the fishing line carries those too, and this is the least expensive way into them.
How does the hook retrieval system work?
It is built into the blade. When a lure ends up in a limb or a laydown you cannot reach, you use it to work the lure free instead of breaking off and re-tying. It pays for itself the first time it saves a crankbait.
What does the ovalized shaft do?
It is shaped oval where your hands sit rather than fully round, so you can feel which way the blade is turned without looking. On a fishing trip your eyes are on the water, not on your grip, and that is exactly when it earns its keep.
Angler Scout or Angler Classic?
Both carry the tape measure and the hook retrieval system. The Classic moves up to a fiberglass shaft, which Bending Branches builds to be lighter than aluminum, warmer in the hands, and more flexible and forgiving. If the price gap is comfortable, the shaft is the upgrade worth making first.
Is aluminum a problem in cold weather?
It gets cold, and that is the honest tradeoff at this price. Aluminum pulls heat out of your hands faster than fiberglass or carbon does. Gloves handle it. If you paddle a lot of cold mornings, the fiberglass shaft on the Angler Classic is noticeably more comfortable.
How does it ship?
Ships parcel, nationwide. It breaks down into two pieces and boxes up, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
