Shipping Damage Free Guarantee

Accessory Shipments

Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.

It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.

Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.

Kayak Shipments

We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.

If we hand deliver it

Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.

If it ships LTL freight

Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

What we cover

Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.

Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

Bonafide Kayak Warranty

Kayaks and Drives

  • Hulls: Limited lifetime against manufacturing defects, plus 5 years against normal wear and tear as determined by the Bonafide warranty team.
  • Who it covers: Original retail customer. Grade 2 cosmetically blemished kayaks carry the same coverage.
  • Components: 1 year from the original date of purchase.
  • Propel pedal drive: 5 years from the purchase date against defects in workmanship and materials.
  • Rental, livery or demo use: 1 year on the hull and all components.

Register within 14 days

Bonafide requires you to register your kayak, and your Propel drive if it has one, on the Bonafide website within 14 days of purchase for the warranty to activate. Keep your sales receipt as proof of purchase.

Not covered

Normal wear and color discoloration, structural or dimensional alterations, damage from improper storage or transport including ratchet straps, damage from winching the boat onto a trailer, use the kayak was not designed for, rental or commercial service, and color variation between boats. On the Propel drive, also skipped maintenance, transporting the kayak with the drive still in it, non-approved lubricants, and crank arms tightened past 26 ft/lb.

Filing a claim

Bonafide requires every warranty claim to come through the dealer you bought from. That is us, so we handle it. Email helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com with your proof of purchase, the model, the kayak and Propel serial numbers, a description of the issue, and photos or video. We submit it to Bonafide and follow it through.

Straighter tracking without a skeg or a rudder. Bonafide Flex Wings are a pair of molded rubber fins that mount underneath the stock dual skid plates on the XTR 130, the SS107 and the SS127. They use the stock hardware and the stock mounting points. Nothing gets drilled, and nothing hangs off the stern to catch on a log.

Bonafide is the only kayak brand building hulls with dual skid plates, and the Flex Wings were designed around them. Turned inward, the wings manage the turbulent water coming off the stern. The boat holds a line better on a flatwater lake and stays more predictable in moving river current, so you spend fewer strokes correcting and more of them getting to the spot.

The rubber is stiff enough to do the work and flexible enough to survive the ramp. Drag the hull across a gravel bar or paddle over submerged timber without worrying about tearing a fin off. Made in the USA, sold as a pair. Mounting hardware is not included, because the Flex Wings reuse the hardware already holding your skid plates on.

Specifications

  • Fits: Bonafide XTR 130, SS107, SS127
  • Material: Flexible molded rubber
  • Sold As: Pair
  • Mounting: Underneath the stock dual skid plates, using the stock hardware
  • Hardware: Not included
  • Made In: USA

Key Features

  • Better Tracking: Wings face inward to manage the water coming off the stern, so the hull runs straighter with less correction.
  • Bolt-On Install: Mounts under the factory dual skid plates with the hardware already on the boat. No drilling.
  • Rubber, Not Rigid: Flexes over rocks and timber instead of snapping, so shallow rivers and rough launches are not a problem.
  • Nothing to Deploy: No moving parts, no cables, no skeg box to rinse out after a trip.
  • Made in the USA: Molded in the USA and sold as a matched pair.

Bonafide Flex Wings Questions, Answered

What do Flex Wings actually do?

They manage the turbulent water coming off the stern. Turned inward, they give the hull something to track against, so the boat holds a line better on flatwater and stays more predictable in river current. In practice that means fewer correction strokes on the way to the spot.

Do I have to drill my hull?

No. They mount underneath the stock dual skid plates using the stock mounting points and the stock hardware. You are taking the skid plates off, putting the wings under them, and putting the same screws back.

Is mounting hardware included?

No, and that is by design. The Flex Wings reuse the hardware already holding your skid plates on. Keep track of those screws when you pull the plates off, because they are the ones going back in.

Will they break on rocks?

That is what the rubber is for. Stiff enough to do the work, flexible enough to survive the ramp. You can drag the hull across a gravel bar or paddle over submerged timber without tearing a fin off, which is more than a rigid skeg will take.

Flex Wings or a rudder?

Different tools. A rudder steers and has cables, pedals and a blade to deploy. Flex Wings do not steer, have no moving parts, and never need deploying or rinsing out. They improve how straight the hull runs, which for most fishing kayaks is the actual complaint.

I have an RS117 or EX123. Do these fit?

No. Those hulls take the Bonafide Flex Wings RS117 EX123 Kayak Skeg Fins instead. Same idea, different hull, so check your model before ordering.

How does it ship?

Ships parcel, nationwide. It packs down small enough to box, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
