Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler Walkthrough With Eric Jackson

Hey everybody, this is Eric Jackson. President and founder of Jackson Kayak, Orion Coolers, and now Blue Sky Boatworks. You probably now have heard of the new Blue Sky Boatwork, and specifically the Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler.

What you are looking at was put together 30 minutes ago. You will be looking at production hulls. These are finished production hulls right here.

Let’s talk about this. First, what is this boat for? Well this is a twin hull kayak or a boat. You decide what you want to call it. I like calling it a twin hull kayak. This is a personal fishing machine or personal watercraft. The reason we wanted to make the Blue Sky Boatworks is kayaks aren’t for everybody. Kayaks usually have low seat even if they have high seat they aren’t this high. You can’t put a seat this high on a kayak. This is a 48” wide boat. You can be 350 pounds and stand and fish from it.

This is Jackson Kayak Flex Drive or in the front there is a Blue Sky Boatworks eDrive coming. Here is the control for the rudder and turn the electronic motor on low. Turn the seat to the side and fish the banks all day.

People are asking how do I can from the eDrive from the pedal system. It’s easy but switch out the thumbscrews and lift it off and drop in the Blue Sky Boatworks eDrive.

We are here at the R&D Jackson Kayak Factory and I do not have a paddle but here is how easy it is. Just make a few strokes with a paddle from any position. You can use a standing paddle or a kayak paddle. I personally use a kayak paddle.

You want to move it around. It’s fully trailerable. It’s its own trailer right now. Check it out. The Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler has a set of wheels. It’s really lite. It’s easy to move around. You can get it in and out of a truck bed.

The Saddle Bag comes with it. You are welcome to get a second Saddle Bag. I am not drinking this beer but it is an example. You have a cup holder and hatch accessory area. Just like all Jackson Kayaks the hulls are completely open for storage. You can fit up to a 7’ - 11’ rod and run your rods in.

Now the back porch you can fit a 45 Quart Orion Cooler to the back. Same as the front porch you can put a cooler up there and stand on it to sight fish for some big ole’ Redfish.

The Blue Sky Boatworks is designed for all types of waters. It’s a great flats boat, it’s only got 4” of draft. Which makes it great for getting into the flats that some flats boats can’t get to. If you can get a kayak there you can get a Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler there. Now there are some areas you do not want to take the Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler to. Like whitewater with shoals. Moving water is fine, like bigger rivers are fine.

The rudder system has a cleat that holds the rudder up and you can release it with the rope. You can adjust the seat forward and aft, up and down. The back adjust up or back.

The very back has 2 Power Pole areas to install one. Why not have 2, bass boats have two. It keeps you in place instead of moving in one spot.

You can accessorize this Blue Sky Boatworks anyway you want. I personally like a paddle holder, RAM cup holders, Go Pro Camera, and so many mounts on this thing.

You can give yours at Caney Fork Outdoors. See you on the water.
