I got into kayak fishing after selling my bass boat back in 2010. My first try at kayak fishing was actually from a solo canoe. While I enjoyed fishing the rivers, I never felt comfortable in the canoe. Flipping the canoe in front of a few folks who were using the local Greenway was the last straw.
