The Werner Shuna adjustable is the high angle fishing paddle on the LeverLock shaft, and for 2027 it comes in the two new graphics, Mosaic Bass and Tailing Red. Same blade as the fixed length Shuna. The difference is that the length is yours to change while you are sitting in the kayak.
LeverLock gives you 20 centimeters of adjustment. Flip the lever, slide the shaft, close the lever. That is the whole operation, and it is the reason this paddle exists: a fishing kayak is not one boat at one height. Seated and paddling wants one length. Standing to sight fish wants another. Borrowing your buddy’s wider hull wants a third.
Everything above the joint is Werner Premium: a mid-size high angle fiberglass blade at 615 square centimeters, dihedral power face, low profile reinforcement spine, carbon straight shaft in Standard diameter. The adjustable shaft adds some weight over the fixed version, bringing the paddle to 30.75 ounces.

Key Features
- 2027 Fishing Graphics: Mosaic Bass and Tailing Red, the two new designs Werner built for anglers.
- LeverLock Adjustable Shaft: 20 centimeters of length change with one lever, done one handed, in the seat, without taking the paddle apart.
- High Angle Blade: Mid-size at 615 square centimeters, built for the steep vertical stroke that holds a hull on line in wind and current.
- Four Length Ranges: 200 to 220, 220 to 240, 240 to 260, and 260 to 280 cm, so the 20 cm of travel lands where you actually paddle.
- Dihedral Power Face: The blade sheds water evenly off both sides of the spine, which is what keeps the paddle from fluttering and wandering mid stroke.
- Low Profile Reinforcement Spine: Custom shaped and kept shallow, so the blade stays stiff and strong without fighting you when you link maneuvering strokes back to back.
- Carbon Straight Shaft: Standard diameter carbon, tuned for flex and strength rather than raw stiffness, which is what your shoulders notice at the end of a long day.
- Translucent Fiberglass Blades: The 2027 fishing graphics are laid into a translucent fiberglass laminate, so the pattern reads differently depending on how the light hits the blade.

Werner Shuna Adjustable Questions, Answered
How does LeverLock work?
A cam lever on the shaft clamps the inner section. Open the lever, slide to the length you want, close it. It holds under load and it resets just as fast, so you can change length mid float without pulling the paddle apart or digging out a tool.
How much adjustment do I get?
Up to 20 centimeters, within whichever range you order. A 240 to 260 paddle covers everything between those two numbers. It does not reach into the next range, which is why picking the right range matters more than picking an exact length.
Which length range should I order?
Start from the length you would buy in a fixed paddle, then pick the range that sits in the middle of it. A wide fishing kayak with a high seat usually lands in 240 to 260. A tall angler who stands to sight fish from a wide hull is often in 260 to 280. Narrow hull, low seat, 220 to 240. Call us if you are on a boundary.
What are Mosaic Bass and Tailing Red?
The two new 2027 fishing graphics from Werner, offered on the Shuna and the Camano. Mosaic Bass is green and gold scales. Tailing Red is copper and orange. Both are printed into the translucent fiberglass laminate.
Why is it heavier than the fixed length Shuna?
The LeverLock mechanism and the overlapping shaft sections add material at the joint. The fixed length Shuna is 27.75 ounces and this one is 30.75. Three ounces is the price of being able to change length on the water, and most anglers who switch to adjustable do not go back.
Does the feather angle adjust too?
Yes. The LeverLock shaft lets you set the offset between the blades as well as the length, so you are not locked into one feather.
High angle or low angle?
This is the high angle blade, for a steep vertical stroke. If you paddle with the shaft closer to flat and the top hand lower, you want the Camano adjustable instead, which is the same LeverLock shaft under a low angle blade.
How does it ship?
Ships parcel, nationwide, broken down at the joint. We are in Silver Point, Tennessee, and you are welcome to come work the lever yourself before you decide on a range.
