Shipping Damage Free Guarantee
Accessory Shipments
Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.
It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.
Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.
Kayak Shipments
We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.
If we hand deliver it
Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.
If it ships LTL freight
Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

The Badfish 9" Dolphin Fin is the flatwater fin for your Selfie or Rivershred. Nine inches of fin under the tail is what turns a river board into something that holds a line across a lake, and the swept dolphin profile keeps enough rake that you can still surf it when you find a wave.
It is the more versatile of the two 9" fins. Where the Keel is cut purely to track, the Dolphin gives up a little straight-line hold in exchange for a shape that releases when you want to turn.
It fits any board with a standard US longboard fin box, so it is not locked to a Badfish hull. This is a deep fin. Pull it before you run shallow, rocky water or you will find the rocks with it.

Badfish 9" Dolphin Fin Questions, Answered
Dolphin or Keel?
The Keel is the straighter, more upright shape and it holds the hardest line, which is what you want for covering distance on flatwater. The Dolphin is raked back, so it tracks nearly as well but still lets the tail release when you turn or surf. If you only buy one, buy the Dolphin.
Will it fit my board?
Yes, if your board has a standard US longboard fin box. That is the long slot with a screw and plate. It will not fit a click-fin box, a 2-tab box or an FCS box.
Can I run it on a river?
On deep, slow river stretches, yes. On shallow rocky water, no. Nine inches of fin is the first thing to hit a rock, and hitting one at speed can damage the board, the fin box, or put you in the water. Swap to a Soft Flex center fin for that.
Does it come with the screw and plate?
The fin is sold on its own. If your board came with a US box it already has the hardware in it. If you have lost the screw or plate, Badfish sells that as a separate part and we can get it for you.
Which boards is it made for?
Badfish sizes it for the Selfie and the Rivershred, but it works on any board with a US longboard box where you want more tracking.
Will a bigger fin make me faster?
Indirectly. It does not add power, it stops you wasting it. Without enough fin the tail slides on every stroke and you burn energy correcting. With it, the board goes where you point it and the same effort covers more water.
