Shipping Damage Free Guarantee

Accessory Shipments

Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.

It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.

Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.

Kayak Shipments

We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.

If we hand deliver it

Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.

If it ships LTL freight

Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

What we cover

Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.

Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

Native Watercraft Warranty

Kayaks and Drives

  • Hulls: Limited lifetime against manufacturing defects, plus 5 years against normal wear and tear as determined by the Native Watercraft warranty team.
  • Who it covers: Original retail customer. Grade 2 cosmetically blemished kayaks carry the same coverage.
  • Components: 1 year from the original date of purchase.
  • Propel pedal drive: 5 years from the purchase date against defects in workmanship and materials.
  • Rental, livery or demo use: 1 year on the hull and all components.

Register within 14 days

Native Watercraft requires you to register your kayak, and your Propel drive if it has one, on the Native Watercraft website within 14 days of purchase for the warranty to activate. Keep your sales receipt as proof of purchase.

Not covered

Normal wear and color discoloration, structural or dimensional alterations, damage from improper storage or transport including ratchet straps, damage from winching the boat onto a trailer, use the kayak was not designed for, rental or commercial service, and color variation between boats. On the Propel drive, also skipped maintenance, transporting the kayak with the drive still in it, non-approved lubricants, and crank arms tightened past 26 ft/lb.

Filing a claim

Native Watercraft requires every warranty claim to come through the dealer you bought from. That is us, so we handle it. Email helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com with your proof of purchase, the model, the kayak and Propel serial numbers, a description of the issue, and photos or video. We submit it to Native Watercraft and follow it through.

The Native Watercraft Wizard FCS (Foot Controlled Steering) Kit is a kayak steering kit that moves your motor or rudder control from your hands to your feet. Native Watercraft and Bonafide both sell it, and it fits kayaks from both brands. It was developed with Romel Labrador, known as The Wizard, and it is patent pending.

The controls ride on bearings instead of sliding plastic on plastic or metal on metal. The comparison both brands use is power steering. You get smooth, repeatable input from a system built to steer from day one.

It adjusts to your leg length and to the steering position you want, and the controls lock in place when you need them to hold. It is designed to fit nearly any kayak and most foot brace insert layouts, from a Native Watercraft Hammer 1210 Propel to a Bonafide XTR130.

Specifications

  • SKU: ASTE101

  • Steers: Motor or rudder
  • Control Action: Bearing mounted
  • Leg Length: Adjustable

Key Features

  • Bearing Mounted Controls: The controls ride on bearings, not sliding plastic or metal. That is where the smoothness comes from.

  • Adjustable Leg Length: Set it to your legs and your preferred steering position.
  • Lockable: Lock the controls when you want them to hold position.
  • Motor or Rudder: Works either way, on a motor build or a pedal kayak running a rudder.
  • Native Watercraft and Bonafide: Sold by both brands and matched to kayaks from both lineups.
  • Wide Compatibility: Built to fit nearly any kayak and most foot brace insert layouts.
  • Hands Stay on the Rod: Steering moves to your feet, which is the whole reason to fit one.
  • Developed with Romel Labrador: Designed with The Wizard himself.

Native Watercraft Wizard FCS Questions, Answered

What does the Wizard FCS actually do?

It moves steering from your hands to your feet. You push with your feet and the motor or the rudder turns, so both hands stay on the rod while you hold a line or work a piece of structure. It is the same idea as foot steering on a bass boat, built for a kayak.

Does the Wizard FCS fit Bonafide kayaks?

Yes. Bonafide sells the same kit, SKU ASTE101, and matches it to the Bonafide PWR129, Bonafide RVR119, Bonafide SS127 and Bonafide XTR130. No adapter is needed on any of them.

Which Native Watercraft kayaks does the Wizard FCS fit?

Native matches it to the Hammer 1210 Propel, Slayer Propel 10 LTE, Slayer Propel Max 10, Titan X Propel 10.5 and Titan X Propel 12.5. The 2026 and newer Slayer Propel Max 10 also needs the adapter kit below.

Will it fit a kayak from another brand?

It is designed to fit nearly any kayak and most foot brace insert layouts. Layouts vary, so call us at (615) 696-7887 with your make, model and year and we will confirm the insert pattern before you buy.

Do I need the adapter kit?

Only on one kayak. A Native Watercraft Slayer Propel Max 10 from the 2026 model year or newer needs the separate Slayer Propel Max 10 (2026+) Wizard Steering Adapter Kit, SKU ASTE111. Every other kayak, Native Watercraft or Bonafide, installs without it.

Does it steer a rudder or only a motor?

Either one. It is a motor or rudder steering system, so it works on a motorized build and on a pedal kayak running a rudder.

Is this the same thing as an Anchor Wizard?

They share a name and do different jobs. The Bonafide RVR Anchor Wizard is an anchoring system that holds you on a spot. The Wizard FCS is foot steering that points the kayak. Plenty of anglers run both.

Can I adjust and lock the controls?

Yes. Leg length and steering position both adjust, so you set it once to how you sit and fish. The controls lock in place when you want them held, which helps when you are running a straight line or standing up.

How does the Native Watercraft Wizard FCS Kit ship?

Ships parcel, nationwide. It boxes up as a standard ground shipment.
