Shipping Damage Free Guarantee

Accessory Shipments

Paddles, PFDs, dry bags, helmets, skirts, motors, rod holders, and accessories ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS Ground.

It lands on your doorstep like any other package. We email tracking the day it leaves our shop.

Order gear on the same order as a kayak we're hand delivering or shipping, and it comes with the kayak.

Kayak Shipments

We deliver kayaks two ways. Inside our delivery area, we bring your boat to you ourselves. Everywhere else, it ships LTL freight with a carrier that reports a 99.9% damage-free delivery rate. We'll tell you which one you're getting once your order is placed along with more details.

If we hand deliver it

Nothing to inspect, nothing to sign at the curb. We're the ones unloading your kayak, so if anything is wrong, tell us right there and we'll take care of it. We will call before hand for a meetup place.

If it ships LTL freight

Look the boat over before you sign the delivery receipt. If you see damage, write it on the receipt. That one step is what protects your claim. Then email clear photos to helpdesk@cfoutdoors.com within 2 hours of delivery. We also will email you more details on this process once the order is placed.

What we cover

Structural damage. Anything that compromises the hull or would void the manufacturer's warranty, confirmed with the vendor. We make it right.

Cosmetic damage. Light scratches or minor surface dents that don't affect performance or structure. We send a repair kit when one is available. If you'd rather have a replacement, a 20% restocking fee applies plus full shipping back to us.

Badfish River Runner Questions, Answered

River Runner or Rivershred?

River Runner if you want one board that covers lakes, flatwater miles, and your home river. It is 18" longer, so it tracks and glides noticeably better. Rivershred if river surfing is the point and you want the loosest, quickest board on a wave.

Does it actually paddle well on flatwater?

Yes. That is the reason it exists. Whitewater boards are short and slow across a lake. At 10'6" the River Runner holds a line and keeps its speed between strokes, so a lake crossing is not a chore.

Will it work for a bigger paddler?

Rider capacity runs 110 to 230 lbs, which is 10 lbs more than the Rivershred, and the extra length spreads that weight out. If you are toward the top of the range or carrying gear, this is the board of the two.

What fins does it come with, and what fits it?

A removable tri-fin setup. The side bites are click fins that snap in with no hardware. Soft Flex fins are the right replacement for river use because they bend on a rock strike instead of tearing the box out of the board.

What comes in the box?

Board, dual-action pump, backpack board bag, the fins, and a 3-piece paddle. Nothing else to buy before your first paddle.

What leash should I use on a river?

A releasable one. Never wear a fixed coil ankle leash on moving water. In current it can pin you to a strainer with no way to get free. Use a Badfish Re-Leash with its snap shackle release. The 8' Coiled Re-Leash is the river running length; the 6' Straight is for surfing.

How does it ship?

Ships parcel, nationwide. It packs down small enough to box, so it goes out as a standard ground shipment.
